The staff of the Library at Royal Street, East Perth are here to help Department of Health staff to find current and relevant information when they need it. We’re here to support you in your clinical, policy and/or administrative decision making as you provide healthcare services to the people of Western Australia.

Who are our clients?

WA Department of Health staff working in:

  • Royal Street and other corporate Offices
  • Country Health Services
  • Parts of the North Metropolitan Area Health without access to other departmental libraries, such as Osborne Park Hospital, Swan-Kalamunda Health Service and Ambulatory Care

What can you borrow and for how long?

  • Books (up to 20 at a time) – 1 month
  • Annual reports – 10 days
  • Audio-visual materials - variable

Loans available from other libraries throughout Australia

What else can we do to help?

  • Provide training in the use of information resources
  • Provide consultancy and advisory services
  • Arrange purchases of books, journals or reports on your behalf
  • Catalogue material you have purchased for your unit’s collection
  • Provide copyright and legal deposit advice and assistance

What can you do to help us?

  • Register as a borrower and keep us up to date with changes in your contact details
  • Provide accurate details on any forms you complete for us, so that we can get started on your request straight away.
  • Recommend books for us to purchase for the library.
